Munich: The Edge of War, 1938 autumn when Europe was on the brink of war, tells the story of a Robert Harris' bestselling book Munich. The film revolves around the Munich Agreement signed between Germany, Italy, France, and England. During the period when Adolf Hitler was preparing to invade Czechoslovakia, British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain was seeking a peaceful solution and implementing a policy of appeasement towards Germany. However, the Munich Agreement signed in 1938, which handed over the Sudeten region on the Czechoslovakian border to Germany, demonstrated that appeasement policy was futile and led to the crossing of the final threshold towards war. The film follows the British officer Hugh Legat and the German diplomat Paul von Hartmann, who are friends and tasked with an emergency conference before the agreement is signed, as they find themselves in the midst of political intrigues and a real danger.
